Knock knock... S70 1998

Hi.

When I accelerate while cruising over @50mph, I sometimes feel a minor jolt and hear a "thunk." I don't get the same effect when lettig off the throttle.

My guesses are inner CV joint or a motor mount. What do you guys think? The car has @47K on it.

Thanks,

Bryan

      Jeff,

Thanks for responding. Which mount went bad?

Lower right (I think there are 2 lower). Both were replaced by the dealer under warranty. After that, it was silky smooth under acceleration. Good luck.

          Thanks Jeff,

I'll probably fire up the kerosene heater and hide out in the garage this week-end to check the condition of the mounts.

I love my in-laws, but after 3 days.... You say it's a 16 hour project?

          Bryan
