Baum Diagnostic scanner for OBDII S70 1998

http://www.baumtools.com/english/index.cfm

Anyone tried this tool? It has separate software and adaptor for Volvos with Motronic ECUs. Looks very promising, waiting for a quote on the price.

Re: Baum Diagnostic scanner for OBDII S70 1998

If you find this info, I would like to know. Will investigate myself as time permits. New to code scanners/ computers in cars, but am a pretty good with mechanics. Girlfriend has a 99 S70 GLT, over-warranty, and don't relish being gouged by dealers/shops.

Got the quote, too expensive.....$2500+, probably only a dealer would buy.

Re: Baum Diagnostic scanner for OBDII S70 1998

I have not tried it but looks very professional and pricy. I hope you'll get a good deal. Personally, I'm leaning toward www.obd-2.com software. It's inexpensive ($122) and does all that I need, ie. reset service light, read and reset ECU codes which are majority. I wish it had the rest (auto transmission codes, etc.) but I don't want to spend big bucks on something that I will not need all that often. It just bothers me that a silly gas cap may cause $40 bill to reset the CEL.
