window buttons (on door) sticky S70 1998

Anyone has this problem? My window switches on the doors are becoming sticky (or tacky) on the surface. Any way to polish or smoothen them out?

Thanks!

    Gavin,

I'd be careful about following Ian's suggestion to "rub the hell" out of them. They are covered with a rubberized coating and you SHOULD feel some "stickiness."

I'd suggest a gentle cleaning with a vinyl/rubber cleaner or mild soap solution only.

Yeah, I've gotten that. On my turn signal and wiper switches too actually. Easiest way to clean them is to get some armor all general purpose cleaner (not the shining stuff that wont clean it off real well) spray it on a paper towel and rub the hell out of the switches until it stops being sticky.
