COOLANT LEAK 1998 S70 T5 Turbo

I was coming into work this morning when suddenly steam was billowing out the hood. I took a look and coolant was leaking from the turbo area.

Is there a coolant hose at the turbo? How hard is it to replace? I would have thought there would be metal lines at this high-heat location.

Thanks for your help,
doug

the heater hose run right beneath the turbo (about 2 inches away) and take a lot of heat - they are definitely prone to heat exhaustion of the rubber. I think there's also a solid steel line back there that runs directly from the water pump....

You'll have to get under and see where the prob is.

You don't want to go very far with no coolant. You'll heat the engine and warp your head or worse in not-much-time flat.

Depending on how fast the leak is and how far your drive is, you might be able to nurse it home or to a garage by pouring water in the reservoir every couple of minutes. You'll need to bring along a lot of water....

sorry I don't really have any advice....
