timing belt and water leak S60 2006

I have always relied on you to give me straight answers to my volvo questions. I finally gave up my 1993 850 GLT after spending way more in repairs than I did on the car itself, but I loved it. I am on my sixth volvo, a 2006 S60 T5, with fabric upholstery instead of leather. This car doesn't have a sunroof, which all my others did, and I have finally gotten over the sunroof, but I really like the leather much better. I have noticed a water mark on the outside of the rear passenger seat that seems to reappear no matter how often I clean the upholstery. It seems to be what I would expect to see if there was a leak in that area, but I've never found a leak and the seat never feels wet. Any ideas on what might be causing this mark?

Also, what is the interval for changing the timing belt on this car? I waited too long on my 1993 850 and thus had to replace the top of the engine, too! I certainly don't want to repeat that mistake, but I don't want to replace it sooner than necessary, either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Tbelt/tensioner at 105K, don't forget!

The previous owner might have left the window open during one of your misty days in the Northwest. Getting a water stain out of fabric is very difficult and you might want to consult with a fabric shop as to the best method. Probably a "bluing agent" of some sort.

The leather seats are not what they are cracked up to be; slippery, hard to maintain, too cold/too hot depending on the season, and the seatbelt wears off the side bolster. Not to mention cracking from the heat of the sun, or really stiff in the cold.
Not having a SR is a plus! No leaks, ever. No wiring problems. No cries for help when it won't close and rain is forcast. No wind noise. Extra room for a hat.

Timing belt: 105k miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. You can get the maintenance schedule online. Try googling "2006 s60 maintenance" or some such thing.

I have the fabric seats in a 2003 S60 -- same problem with small water stains. I've brushed, foamed, vacuumed, etc. but they are still there. Nice thing about cloth is it doesn't saute my skin on hot days.
