Tough to replace ABS module? S70 1998

My ABS control module is going south and I'll probably get a replacement for it. I noticed that the ABS module is bolted to the servo pump unit with torx nuts, meaning I need torx sockets (not torx keys) to open them. Any other ways to get around removing the ABS module? Thanks!

Re: Tough to replace ABS module? S70 1998

No but it's easy. All you need is a 1/4" drive E5 torx socket. No reprogramming either, just bolt the new one up, plug it in and you're done.

Thanks! I'll get a new module and a E5 socket to do the transplant ;-)

Let us know how the replacement goes since I have to replace my module sometime soon as well. Where are you purchasing the control module and what is the price/part no.?

Thanks!

I wish I could remember the name, but someone just posted on here about replacing the ABS module....didn't sound that hard. Do a search, I'm sure you'll find it, it was a pretty recent post.
