Can someone tell me how to clean a Mass Air Flow meter and if the MAF can be tested on the workbench to see if it still works?
The MAF on my 1998 S70 had to be replaced but it still looks clean. It is a Bosch and has a four pin connector.

You clean it just by spraying it with MAF cleaner that you can buy at any auto parts store. I don't think you can test it out of the car, as it sends a variable current based on the amount of air being passed by the element.

Thank you Klaus, How do I check the cam position sensor. I assume it is in the distributor . Broe
