Anybody have the spec for allowable current draw from battery when everything is turned off. I don't know if I have a minor leak or what. Thanks.

When I measured mine it was about 38 ma's. Had the usual problem w/ the glove box lamp draining the battery.

You are looking at mille volt draw with the car unlocked and the radio connected. A good battery will carry a glove box light for 2-3 days, same for a trunk light.

The security system uses more power if one of the doors, trunk, or hood is not securily closed.

The only way to isolate a power drain is to pull 1 fuse at a time, watching the voltmeter gauge for a drop in voltage.

Put your battery on a trickle charge for 24-36 hours if you can. If the battery is over 6 years old, get a new battery and always trickle charge the new battery for at least 24 hours to get it up to full charge.

I think you swapped amps and volts Klaus. Should be a milliamp draw, and the amperage should drop when you pull the fuse of the circuit which is the culprit.

What is this about the security system? Does it engage even if one door isn't shut, and not trigger unless another opens? And in this state for some reason has more draw? Whoever figured this out (you?) must have had a nice time tracking it down.
