'99 V70 FWD check engine/Evap sensor V70-XC70 1999

Hey all, the check engine light illuminated and the code reads the evap sensor. What are everyone's thoughts as to how i should tackle this? I already made certain the gas cap was tight. I was thinking i would replace the gas cap. what are the chances of it being the gas cap? should I just investigate the rubber lines? any advice would be much appreciated.

thanks,

If you had a code of P0442, it could be due to a cracked J hose. Check the following thread.
