Daytime Running Lights

Does anyone know how to disc9onnect the DRL feature on an S60?

I do not need to have these running all the time. I wish Volvo had given me a lifetime supply of headlight bulbs with this feature. My local stealer says they will not do it.

Frustrated in MD

It is programmable, which means that some dealers will disable the DRLs for a small fee. Usually 1 hour of shop time - around here that translates to $125.

Remember, in PA headlights are required in construction zones. Which is about 90% of the state :)

Call the 1-800 Volvo number in your manual and complain nicely about your headlight bulbs burning out. Just to be put on the list of other callers. Be nice about it :)

I didn't know lights are required in construction zones in my state - I'm glad you pointed it out.

As a result of this thread I went and did some research on DRL. To my surprise, a significant recent study calls into question whether DRL increase safety or not. Imagine that.

Do you have a tiny screw right next to your headlight switch? If so, turn that and it'll cut them off. I'm not sure if the S60's have this, but my S70 and a Ford we own does.
