Have not seen comments on this and wondered if anyone knows what needs help. Seems a wire on the DS door is out of commission.

Does your door unlock with the key still work easily? If not, it might be that the Texas heat dried out the grease :) The only way to find out is to remove the panel... I know, it's a pain, but you need to be able to watch the motor run and the rods move.
You can simulate a closed door when it is open by pushing back on the small black switch at the bottom of the latch. To unlock, just pull the door handle.

Thanks, Klaus. Will be removing the panel once I get my paws on the car again. Also will let you know what we find. Key works easily.
