No TRACS switch V70-XC70 2000

I was combing the owners manual this weekend looking for a funny light on the dash. You know the one with the car skiding. I found it in the book and as the car is a XC SE I dont think it has the Dynamic Stability Control, but it should have TRACS. I did some looking and realized I do not have a TRACS swtich on the dash, just a filler plate in that spot. The manual shows a TRACS switch. Am I suposed to have a TRACS switch on this model car?

    Yes you do have TRACS. It will never light up, neither will you find a push button to enable/disable the system. As far as I know, it will blink when there's a problem with it, otherwise the only way you know it's doing its work is when you hear that ABS-like sound when slippage occurs under 25 mph.. Then the AWD does magic. I have yet to see an AWD with DSTC as they will fight each other.

      I figured it was the TRACS system. I was just wondering if I was suposed to have the switch, like on my '97 GLT. BTW on my '97 the TRACS off indicator will light after extended HEAVY breaking, like driving downhill at high speed for 2 or 3 hours.
