850 Won't Start 850 94

Help...I'm stranded at work. My '94 850 wagon won't start. It cranks fine, but won't fire. After turning off the ignition the cooling fan continues to run even though the engine is cold. I can't remember the cooling fan running for very long even if the engine is hot. The car got me to work today just fine.

I'm guessing ignition or fuel. Anyone care to guess what this is or help troubleshoot?

Re: 850 Won't Start - Update 850 94

Here's what the ultimate solution to this problems was...

Remove the computer module and reinstall it. The tech said that I may need to replace the computer, but we'll see what happens. Who knows if I do need to replace it I may have an excuse to chip tune! :-)

Re: 850 Won't Start 850 94

I think that the temp sensor which controls your fan also controls the fuel mixture at startup. It is like having a bad choke.

Re: 850 Won't Start - update 850 94

One more thing...

When I plug the diagnotics connector into A2 I get a steady light on the LED. Is this normal? A6 also yields no response, but the light is off.

I hope my computer isn't toast!
