v70 se 2000,,whats the deal? 850 94

I am posting this message in the 850 forum because in the v70 forum I saw questions like " what gas station should I go to?".

I recently posted that my folks toasted thier 1993 240 classic wagon. The car ran for 7 years 130k with only needing a new alt.,nothing else. The car was driven on the salty,snowy roads of montreal and looked like new.

I am really pro 850, I have not driven a car like it (maybe my bmw 325 ix). I love the square look. I want them to get a 1997 850 wagon but they are getting a 2000 v70 se. I now it is early in the life of that car but does anyone have any comments (reliability). I can not rate the power because my sence of power has been destroyed by my modified 850 turbo (pushing 290 hp).

Re: v70 se 2000,,whats the deal? 850 94

There is not much diffrence between a '97 855 and the '00 V70. '00 was the last year for the 850/C/S/V70 platform. Exterior sheetmetal and interior styling are diffrent but mechanically they are the same car and the reliability should be simular. The car should be great, enjoy and drive.

V70 = 169 bhp

V70 GLT = 190 bhp

V70 T5 = 236 bhp
