power door locks V70-XC70 1998

I just recently bought a 1998 V70 T5, very low miles (57,000). I can lock and unlock the divers and sometimes the front passenger door by using the key. To unlock the back doors I have to reach back and unlock them by hand. I can't unlock the back door by either front door switch or with key. I can roll up and down all windows from the driver's door switch with the exception of the front passenger window. I can roll down the front passenger window from the driver's door switch but I can not roll it back up. I can only roll up the front passenger window from the front passenger door switch.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm sure I will have many more questions in the future.

Thanks

The master switch for the driver's door is your major problem. Try to find a used one if you can, new ones are expensive.

The switches can be taken apart, if you are careful. You will find pieces of switches have fallen off.

Thank You Klaus,

I took apart the master switch. The contacts were corroded and full of dog hair (yuk). I cleaned and polished the contacts with WD-40 and 1200 sand paper. All the windows work perfectly now. I still can not unlock the rear right door from either the key or master switch. I also noticed that the front passenger also does not lock. Any advise on getting these door locks working properly?

Thanks

If you do a search on "red evil plastic lever", you will turn up a number of posts describing door lock problems and fixes.
