Bumpy roads stalls engine 850 93

Driving the incredibly bumpy roads of Chicago,

some of the worst inner lanes now makes my engine fall out (stop).

It usually happends a few hundred yards after where the bumps occurred.

It stops no matter what I do to the gaspedal. After a few attempts with the starter it runs fine again.

The delay between bumps and engine stopping makes me think about something fuel related.

Anyone tried this before and found the fault?

Great board, great people.

Bo

No doubt you have something loose. Check for a loose or defective relay since they are sensitive to vibration when not plugged all they way in.

Re: Bumpy roads stalls engine 850 93

Bo,

I also live near Chicago and your problem besides fuel can also be caused by a loose conection some where. It is going to be a real pain to trace this problem because of the difficulty in trying to duplicate the problem. I bad fuel pump can also caused fuel starvation problems.
