My 98 V70 T5 does not want to start. I have good spark at the plugs, pressure at the fuel rail, fuel pump and relay test OK, system relay OK and the CTS is within spec. However, with key on there is no power to the IAC. Any suggestions?

Hi,


If you have good spark at the plugs, then the engine should start with propane, or if you're feeling sober, starting fluid. What is the value of the fuel pressure, in pounds?

I would be extremely careful in inferring fault from a idle valve voltage check, without advanced knowledge of the Bosch computerized fuel injection. I have no recommendation in this area.


Please verify that the fuel pressure is within spec. Don't just let it spray and call it a day.
