struts S60

Hey guys, My 2002 Volvo needs struts and upper spring seats. This is not something I am doing my self. I will have to pay a friend to do. He is not familar with Volvos. He asked if my susp was Nevomat self leveling. I advised I did not think so - just a regular susp.

How do I confirm this.

I have a 2002 Volvo S60 Non turbo.

I am willing to replace more items since I am doing the struts. IS there any thing else I should replace while we are doing struts.

Veh has 112k

I believe the advice to use an XC90 spring seat still applies to the S60 line, but I'm not sure about that.

Most folks recommend replacing the stock struts with 'upgrades' like the Bilsteins or Konis. You would probably have to order those if you decided to go that route and they cost a bit more money plus the added cost of shipping.

Depending on the mileage you might think about doing the strut bearings as well, though most people seem to think these last a LONG LONG time. FWIW my 1998 has 205k miles and the strut bearings actually seem fine (the spring seats are another story...).

Nivomats would only be used in the rear, and is optional on most station wagons. If you haven't replaced the sway bar endlinks, now is a good time.
