Timing Belt Questions S60 2004

Hi there,

Getting close to timing belt time with my S60 T5 and I see that there are different things required depending on the serial number of my engine. I was just over at FCP Groton's site and my engine a B5234T3 AFTER serial number 3188688.

What does this mean? Different tensioner, ilder & belt? Any other things I should be aware of when ordering parts?

This latest brick of mine has been utterly flawless up to now (189,000 km) and I want to keep it that way.

Cheers!!!

As far as I can tell the two just have a different connection at the tensioner. I don't think you've got too much more than that. Just buy the kit and youre good...

I've got one before that cutoff but i had my mechanic friend do that on the side.. I don't trust myself enough to get interference engines right on the first try...
