Intake manifold/ Pvc system 850 1994

Hello, I'm attempting to repair/replace my pvc system on a 94 850 non turbo volvo. I ended up with the wrong intake manifold gasket and have a few days to kill while I wait on another one. Since it's such a pain to remove the intake manifold anything else I should clean, check or replace while I'm in there? Thanks, Jim

The small port on the flame trap is usually plugged and needs to be drilled out. The small hard plastic tube that attaches to it may also be plugged. If so it will need to be replaced. It's S shaped and can't be cleaned out.

If you didn't tear the original gasket, it is reusable.

Cleaning the throttle body is a must, do not break the plastic vacuum tree.

Thanks Klaus! I think all of us on the brickboard value your input. I didn't break the tee, rare for me, no rush on the car, so I figure I'll wait on the new gasket while I've got it apart. I did discover the port to the egr valve was totally blocked with crud. The main blockage in the pvc system was the lower connection to the engine. Thanks again, Jim.
