There's a round thing behind the engine, mounted on the firewall, up near the hood or rubber gasket/seal. It looks a bit like an old horn. It has a small bolt in the center. I think part of mine fell off, but I don't know what the thing is called to look it up and compare or replace it.

yep, and isn't it a cute little beep beep? Didn't wake me or my neighbors ever, even when the system went off all night and wore the battery down.

oh, I hadn't thought of that. I thought the alarm used the regular horns. It does resemble an old horn. I better trigger the alarm and see how it sounds, because I'm sure the front of it has disappeared.

my was coming loose and sounded like a sick duck.
tighened the screw and it sounded like the alarm of old.
