opinion on suede seats 850 94

I am looking at getting a 1997 850 R. I saw a 1996 850 R today and the suede seats looked ratty. They had clear sighs of dirt and the suede was balling up. The car had light beige which will show more dirt then the grey interior of the 1997 but I am still concerned. For those "R" owners out there, honestly, can you maintain those seats?

Re: opinion on suede seats 850 97

I have a 97 850R and the only sure way to do it is to cover them. My back seats have no covers and have been able to survie my 2 year old and 8-11 year old so far. I have only used a damp cloth and frequent cleaning. They are not low maintenance. I remove the covers to the front seats every 6 months and remove the lint that collects between the car cover and the seat with a damp cloth and apply a leather treatment for the leather areas. So far, the seats look showroom new.
