My service is due and I am planning on replacing my spark plugs. For the replacement I would like to get some multi electrode ones from Beru or Bosch. Can some one help with a source?

Also I would like to order a Haynes service manual for my V70. I tried Barnes & Noble and others but could not find anything.

Multi-electrode plugs won't work well with LPT/HPT, only N/A. Stick with OEM instead.

Found a place on the web from which I will order me Haynes's new v70 service manual this week. Besides that, the Sc816 unit is pretty crappy and will be replaced soon too.

Has anyone actually used the Haynes manual? How good is it? (Other than "somethings better than nothing") Some Haynes manuals aren't very good.

The one in IPD is the UK version. That is the one I'm thinking of getting. I don't think there are that many differences between US and UK models. But I'm not sure, so if anyone knows of any big differences, I'd appreciate hearing about them. The emissions stuff might be different, but that isn't anything I would be messing with anyway. But for the 2000 XC, this seems to be the only manual available that would be even close to my model. I'd like to have something to refer to, and I don't want to subscribe to the Volvo online manuals. They are too expensive for my needs.

I think there is some information about it on the volvocars web site. Not positive though. The thing I am refering to is really meant for dealerships and shops. It doesn't look like Volvo is publishing any books for the 2000 and up models. I really like to have some sort of shop manual for my cars, even if it is just for troubleshooting before I take it in to the dealer.

Skim through the messages in the index, spark plugs have been talked about almost non-stop for the past two weeks.
