The tint on all of the windows of the 93 850 is very cloudy. Is there a good way to strip it off. I can't tell if it is the factory tint or not, but it is on the inside of the side and rear windows.

    Factory tint does not come off. Secondary market comes off using a straight edge razor, you can buy a pack at most hardware stores.

    When I removed the tint from my Jeep, I started the peel at one corner with a razor blade until I could grab it with my fingers. Then I just peeled it off slowly.

    Try it first on the driver's side rear window. The tint should not be all of the way at the top, so roll the window down about an inch and start peeling. When the top of the window is peeled down enough, roll the window up to the max and continue peeling down as far as it will go.

    Interesting that it is fogging up. They usually don't do that. If the install was bad, they just bubble up.

      Thanks Klaus,

      This tint is uniformly cloudy on every window and the sqeegee marks are visible. Would a heat gun be advisable to soften the material?

        Squeegee marks on the inside of the window? I only use a towel on the insides.

        A heat gun might work, but don't get it very hot. I would prefer to work on cold glass with a razor. It should come off easily enough.

        All of the side and rear window glass is 'tinted' from the factory. The front side windows should not have been tinted with aftermarket plastic sheeting. Unless you live in FL or AZ.

        Still, the fogging bothers me. You must have used something strong that damaged the tint while cleaning.

          The clouding was evident when I picked the car up. Based on who the previous owners were, I'm surprised that it still has windows.
