Yes Certified BMWs have a warranty. But the warranty they have is just like new car warranties, it depends on the marketing conditions at the time. Warranties are NEVER free, not on new cars and not on used cars. Warranties are nothing more than insurance policies. On new cars they have gone up and down in coverage in the US (3 years to 5 years usually) depending on how the manufacturers were trying to market their cars. Interestingly, they have generally never been marketing tools in Yurrup where most warranties have remained at 12 months/12k miles for years.
Make no mistake about it the cost of the warranty is built into the cost of the car, either new or used. If you are paying extra for the warranty, then at least you know what the real cost of it is.
