Car died on the way to work. V70-XC70 98awd

Help!

30 miles into my daily commute, just as I exited the freeway, my car died. While coasting to a stop, I tried to start it, and it did. As I approached the first stoplight, it died again, and wouldn't start, just cranked.

After a 30-minute tow to the dealership, it started again, and seems to work OK. The first time it started successfully, the check engine light was on, but after a stop and successful re-start, the light went out.

Any suggestions on what the dealer should look at? The car has nearly 55,000 miles of combined driving in weather ranging from freezing to about 115 degrees F. Today, it was foggy and around 60 degrees F when it stopped.

Thank you for any input, and Happy Holidays.

I'd start with pulling codes to see what might be stored. Has your M 4.4 been updated? Some on the board have refered to the Motronic up date as the skip and dip, at any rate the M4.4 does have an update that can be done to it. Nuff guessing, good luck.

      Rich,

No update yet. Sounds like a good starting point, if they do not find anything obvious. It's a very early year car. Thanks.
