"BIRDS CHIRPING" in back of 1994 Wagon 850 1994

Okay, I got the one rattle fixed (previous post) but the other major annoyance is this "bird chirping" sound from the back. I THINK I've isolated it to the rear seat latches. If I wrap the latch ring (mounted to the car) several times with heavy yellow plumber's teflon tape, the chirping goes away until the latch chews through it (5-10 days). Anyone have a permanent fix for this?

ThanX,

xRAzORx

xRAzORx-

A light coating of wheel bearing grease usually fixes the chirp. I put it on the latch in the two pockets that engage the ring and also in the recess in the cushion in the latch.

lower the right rear seat, with a small screw driver close the latch, now pack wheel bearing grease in there, open the latch and pack some there where the rubber stop is. This usually cures the problem.

Cool! Stuff grease in the bird's beak! What a great idea! Seriously! I get that occasional tweet myself.
