Service Light on. 850 1997

Hello,

I have a '97 850 T-5 and my service light stays on for about 45 seconds after I start it,... then it goes off and stays off until I shut it down and start it again.

Should I be concerned at all????

Your service lite is acting perfectly normally. It requires a special electronic tool to reset it (IPD about $200) or the dealership can do it. It is a mileage based reminder to do oil change, etc. If reset it will come on 7500miles later. Lots of folks who do their own service put a square of electrical tape over the light and forget it.
