I own a 2011 XC60. Once the car is warmed up, when starting after the engine fires the starter runs on briefly. I do not believe the starter drive is engaged at this time, no grinding. Comments.

    Your car is still under warranty, tell the dealer to fix it. Sounds like a sticky solenoid.
