Suspension clunk V70-XC70 1999

I have a light clunk high on the right front of my suspension. I hear more at low speeds. I've changed sway bar links , but that helped only a little. I guess strut mounts are next. My question is what else should I change? It has nearly 150k miles on it. Thanks

OEM struts? They are probably due to be changed, along with the top spring mounts. Grab a large set of pliers and turn the large bolt clockwise at the top of the shock. If it doesn't spring back, you need at least a new mount, which requires the shock to come off.

I bought it used with 83k miles and everything is original. What struts do you recommend for a good ride?

Unless you carry a bunch of stuff and drive those great mountain roads, OEM works just fine. Some go to Bilstein for greater control. Remember to use spring seats for an XC90, they last longer.
