Hi all,

So we did a serious cleaning the other night (3 kids 2 adults use this car). Man that was a lot of grunge. So what do people like for cleaning the floor mats? Can you throw them in the washing machine? Or scrub them down in a utility sink? Chemicals suitable for cleaning? Etc etc..

I use a 'normal' cleaner like Simple Green or Mr Clean, and a good brush. On the driveway, in the sun. The hard part is the rinse, try to get all of the soap off and let then dry in the sun. They dry fast when hung up with the cloth facing the sun.

Use a rug based shampoo for the carpets in the car. Spray it on and work the bad spots with a brush. Allow it to completely dry and then vacuum out the dirt, I have a hand held brush attachment for my vacuum cleaner (supposed to be for steps).
