ignition non-responsive, no codes

I just bought 1998 v70xc with 180k miles. I test drove it very thoroughly and then drove it 50 miles to my home. My wife then took it for a 10 minute drive. Now the hazards are stuck on and the ignition is non-responsive. I installed a new battery, and there are no codes. I am clueless, help !!

ANSWER ignition non-responsive, no codes

A failure in the security system when the hazzards are also on. Unlock/lock the car a couple of times with the remote or the key. That should turn off the security.

Using the key, lock the door. Then unlock the door twice, that will unlock all of the doors and turn off the security.

You should still have a blinking red light on top of the dash, center by the windshield, if the security is active.
