Weird dashboard setup 850

1995 850 just to right of the headlight switch module there's one of the two knockouts with an LED and a pair of wires off somewhere and another thing with wires that looks like a 5mm rubber coated hex head screw also with a wire off somewhere. Is this factory or Rube Goldberg?
I looked at the boneyard today and there was a switch maybe for foglights and
another "Lock"
Then I found the yellow harness connector available in my car which must be for foglights, but no extra harness for the lock. Huh?

    The 855 had a lock sw for the rear hatch, IIRC.

    The first sw on the left is for the rear fogs. Next to it is the front fog, if attached. One was always blank.
