actual mileage 850

I have the Alex pepper obd2 scanner software program. Is there any way to read the actual odometer reading using his program..(From the ecu.) My odometer broke a couple of years ago and I think It time for some belt changes ect..

Thanks Bob

Thanks Bill and Klaus, Mine is a 97-850 so the link you sent me didn't apply to that year.

I had the same problem with my 95 850 that I got last summer. The odo was dead,
and you can retrieve the overall mileage from the OBD codes.(providing it's just
a busted odo gear in your instrument cluster)
I'll look for the procedure and post back.

Bob never registered and didn't post the year of his 850. Reading A-7 only works for 93-95. 1996 on needs a scanner that can read the cluster.

I have the same, but as far as I know, you can't through the OBDII port ... have to go to a dealer or shop with the Volvo scan tool to read it.

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping there was some way since I can turn off the service light and that is activated I believe by the ecu odometer.
