Sway bar installation tips? 850

I'm about to install IPD front and rear sway bars (95 850 sedan).
Any tips/pitfalls there?

Thanks, Bill

    Sway bar installation tips? 850

I recently installed a set on my 97. The instructions provided by IPD are excellent and should allow you to install the front easily.

The rear set on the other hand I ended up handing over to a local shop with a lift. With floor jacks and stands I could not get it installed. I had to have the alignment adjusted also because I loosened up the bolts on the arms and did not put them back properly.

It made the handling more solid in the corners, although the Bilstein HD shocks I have are now on their way out for Koni FSD's. The Bilsteins have become much too harsh with the new sway bars.

I ran into the same situation that the rear sway bar wouldn't slide into position.

      Here's directions that work:

At the passenger side remove the muffler clamp and rubber donut
and the 10MM bolt holding the flex brake line clamp
and jack up the muffler- I used a scissor jack.

Remove the passenger side rear bracket bolts (4) for the tranverse arm.
(These are at the edge of the frame under the passenger door)
Pry the transverse arm down maybe 2", and then you can slide the
      sway bar into position.

Maybe you can leave the other tranverse arm bolts alone?
I'd try it if there's ever a next time.

      Bill

I goofed in the writeup, and could't edit it.
Remove the bracket on the DRIVERS side just forward of the rear wheel well. That's where the muffler hanger is.
