SRS dash light on 850 1995

After a particularly frustrating day at work one day I hit my steering wheel pretty hard. When I cranked it up the red SRS air bag light came on. It has been on ever since.

Does anyone have any idea how I might try to fix this problem myself?

    Take a look at the following link.

    It will help you determine yourself what the error code is. Once you have this either reply to this post and I'll post what the error code means.

    You may have damaged the deployment mechanism in some way. I would have the dealer check it out. Odds are you will need a new airbag.
