Oil drip Question S70

Small drip just started -- mechanic thinks it's a RMS. Neglected to clean flame trap/pvc. Do I need to replace PVC/flame trap? Or just clean. Any chance that will relieve pressure & reduce drip (one drop a nite) -- or is the damage done, requiring a new RMS.....THX in advance

Oil drip Question S70

First, clean out your PVC valve and its hoses. If there is still a plastic screen in the PVC, throw it away!

If your oil separator box and hoses have never been replaced, now is a good time to do so. Anything to relieve the crancase pressure will help the RMS stop leaking.

One drop/day is not bad and will probably go away after the pressure is brought down.

After you clean things up, I suggest switching to synthetic oil ASAP. Synthetic oils not only last longer but also keep the engine cleaner.
