Error code 3-3-5 - can't clear it - no longer have trans ECU to send it 850 1995

Anyone have experience with getting the 3-3-5 error code after removing the automatic transmission and related ECU? It won't let me clear it. Haynes says this code is an error light request FROM the transmission ECU, but that's been removed. It is also possible that this isn't the code that is turning on my check engine light . . . it didn't come on for a while and now I do have a few others in there to clear out.

Your car will run just fine without a TCU, but did you know there is a different ECU for a manual tranny? Your ECU is expecting a response from the missing TCU.

Currently, the up shift light doesn't work, right? That's because the ECU thinks it is still an MIL.

Sorry, but I am no help here. Volvospeeed.com guys probably know this by heart, or perhaps turbobricks.com?

OK - tried that. I wasn't finding a search tool that was finding anything, so I posted a new forum.

It seems like the ideal find would be an ECU from a 95 T-5 sedan? Those must be around . . . or would I just create more problems? I have an IPD ECU in the car now, maybe I can just send it back to them for some reprogramming.

Calling IPD is your best bet. They know about these things much better than most. I wonder if there is a TCU in the shifters???
