Replacing Rotors V70-XC70 2004

When replacing the rotors do I have to pull the bearing too or does the rotor come off independently?

Thanks

Replacing Rotors V70-XC70 2004

This is a good resource for V70 repair topics. Some as VADIS-type reprints. The brakes and rotors are here too.

ANSWER Replacing Rotors V70-XC70 2004

Just the rotor. You do have to take the caliper off and hang it so there is no stress on brake lines. On the front you should also remove the ABS sensors.

Assuming this is an '04......

ABS sensor to remove brake rotor? No way.

Hang the caliper, yes, then remove the caliper bracket, it bolts from behind. The rotor usually has a 10mm bolt holding it to the hub. Take that off too.
