Hi, do you have lambda dtc? it can also come up do to air intake leaks ie if the tube from radiator to air filter box is not propperly in place, this happened me some years ago. I have also cleaned the sensor in my both 850/20v-94s w 250kkm with carbon clening spray and garden grill propane flame burning. Still running w original sensors but not only city trafic also long haul (1000km)trips.
A good sensor gives 0,2-4,8V fluctuating signal when warm engine idle and 5V with only ignition on.

Buy Bosch with the correct electrical plug. Splicing wires is no fun and prone to errors, water leaks.

Considering the miles and time the Bosch sensors last, they are worth the extra money.
