OK I have this weird proble with the ABS. It feels like it wants to engage but doesn't, like it caught in between. Ive change the module Brakes the vac pice connected to the booster. I check'd the sensors with a meter and they are both around 8meg ohm. Ive read a post where there suppose to be around 1.140 ohms Its a 2000 850 hopeing for some help thanks

Is your ABS light on? Bulb burned out? Have you checked for codes?

Your car came with 4 sensors, one for each wheel. The rear cannot be disconnected without affecting the system.

When you 'fixed' your caliper, did you rebuild it or replace it? If a rebuild, it might be sticking again.

I don't understand how you feel that the ABS is 'almost' engaging. Are you on wet pavement or a dirt road? Can you hear one wheel locking up? Is the steering pulling to one side under hard braking?

hi, read yoour codes first. the resistance between signal leads should be between 1040-1160ohm if everything is ok! had to change left rear sensor some years ago in my 850-94. it was first intermittant then broken open circuit.

Yes the caliper was a reman I only have sensors in the front. When you step on the brake sometimes the pedal wants to fight you. I goes away when you remove the ABS fuse and drive the car. The way I look at it when I do that I'm taking away the electronic part of it. Can't figure this one out.

Hi, as Klaus says the system needs all four sensors to operate.
