PCV 850 1994

Where is the PCV located on my car, 1994 model? I feel it must be plugged as back pressure is pushing out the dipstick from engine block.

Turbo engines are different, but you asked for PCV:

    Hi,
the oil separator box is located under the air intake manifold(needs to be removed when swapping the box) and flame trap (to be cleaned) just before carburetor, one finger size hose coming from separator box and one vacum hose from vacum tree joining the carburetor air intake tube.
    br tapsa.

This car doesn't have carburator. It's fuel injected.

How many miles on your car?
The EGR system gets clogged and can build up dangerous crankcase pressure
        threatening to blow engine seals.
Maybe it's time to clear the restriction at the EGR valve, egr hoses,
and the port where it mounts to the lower side of the intake manifold?
I think Volvo says check or clean at 90 or 100K and probably that job
gets ignored by every other mechanic.

You can google "Cleaning volvo 850 egr" and find the details.
It requires yanking the intake manifold and I'm about to purchase the
Harbor freight LCD boroscope and see if that job can be done via the
hole in back of the throttle body and leave the intake manifold alone.

        Bill
