Re: play in wheels 850 1995

    seth,

Just had the same play in the front drivers side wheel. Took it to the dealer and they took the hub nut off and torqued it back on to specs. Fixed the play. Hopefuly no damanged done to the wheel bearing.

The mechanic told me this is a common problem with the 850's driverside. He recommended replacing the nut with a self locking one sold at the parts counter. I will replace both of mine upon installing new rotors.

    Seth-

Hands at 12 and 6 there should be no play in the wheel. If there is, the hub assembly needs to be replaced. (could also be a ball joint problem) Hands at 3 and 9, any play is in the tie rod and IT needs to be replaced.
