Key Code Question S70 1998

I bought my previously leased '98 S70 Volvo from a small wholesale dealership and wasn't told anything about a key code needed to make duplicate keys.

A tag was given with all the keys and remotes. It has three numbers and two letters written on it. Could this be the key code? If I don't have the key code, how do I get it?

You will need to take your car to a Volvo dealer. They will be able to download all the codes associated with the car including radio, alarm etc. The key should be ready after a couple of weeks because it is laser cut somewhere that I have no clue as to where. I have been there before.

I can't tell you if any of those numbers are gonna help you at all but if you take the car to a real dealer they should be able to use the VIN number to get you new keys
