Unable to close the door(s) V70-XC70 1998

For some reason my driver's side door will not close. It "thinks" it is locked. I opened the passenger door behind it to see what's going on, and now it too will not close. I'll have to use some wire in order to drive home...
What is wrong?

Try the unlock switch in the car also. Pulling on the door handle should have unlocked the micro switch in the door. When I suggested moving the micro switch earlier, it should be down when the door is unlocked and up when locked.

I assume the pull knob at the rear of the glass is in the up position, if not then pull it up. If anyone used the passenger side lock switch, smack their fingers! That switch gets crusty and tends to mess things up.

Have you tried to 'unlock' the doors via remote?

There is a small black metal 'switch' on the door, just below the catch. If that is in the up position, pull it down.

I don't have remote control lock for it.
      Just using manual keys.
I'll look for the switch you mentioned.
