Passenger-side front noises from suspension 850

Hi, my 1994 850 wagon has bumping/knocking/squeaking noises coming from the front left wheel area. Doesn't sound like wheel bearing. I've had the tire and wheel off and checked/tightened everything but still get the noise. The car tracks straight with no wobble up past 80MPH.

Any suggestions, or is this a common issue?

Randoo

My first guess is with the others, bad strut bushings and or sway bar end links.
You should also check your motor mount high center firewall, and the lower front
motor mount which you see through the trap door front passenger side wheel well.
Also check lower ball joints/control arms. How is the car when hitting bumps and potholes? Maybe your struts are tired or worse.

Should you need to replace end links or the strut bushings (Do them as a set)
I'd get the heavy duty units (Check IPD) The bushings are famous for wearing out.
Same with the lower ball joints, stay away from the cheap Chinese stuff.
The quality of these after market parts is all over the place, some being
nearly useless.

Check the strut bushing by getting a large spanner or sliplock pliers and trying to turn the large nut on top of the strut tower clockwise. If there is no resistance, that is you problem.

Did you check the end links for wear? If you grab the endlink and can move it, replace it.

Check the dust shield behind the rotor.

Upper strut mount? Try shaking them around with a load and without.
