Reverse Light (backup light) 850 1997

My backup lights do not work (850 GLT 1997 Wagon). The fuse and the light bulbs are OK. I'm looking for some help on this problem. Thank you

If you have an automatic transmission then the problem could be in the PNP switch on top of the transmission, Post at below link will point out its location and replacement. If you have a manual transmission, there is a switch on top of the transmission that allows the reverse lights to come on when in reverse, that would need replacing.

Thank you Rich, I checked on the link (Bay 13), very good info. BTW my is an automatic trans. My engine check light did not comme on. I will take the car to Volvo to check/repair. Thanks.
