05 v70 doesn't heat up as fast as 96 850 is it just my imagination?? V70-XC70

my 850 was twice as fast to heat up as my v70 this is my first winter with the v70 I'll check the thermostat before next winter, pretty decent winter this year in MN. thank you

You might want to check the engine fan to see if it is running even with the engine cold. I am not sure if the climate control will run the AC even at our temperatures, but if the AC compressor is on then the engine fan will be on.

The thermostat in your car is quite expensive!!! It comes with the ECT sensor as part of the housing, and the housing needs to be replaced. Darn Volvo, take something cheap and easy to repair and make it expensive. Who do they think they are, Mercedes???

As to being cold around here, my thermometer on the house hit -11F last week. I consider that to be nippy and not COLD. I feel sorry for all of the people that ice fish and are having their ice houses fall through the ice. I told my wife that we should probably move to International Falls if we want to experiance a Minnesota winter. This is like living in Iowa!
