Oil catch can. C70

I was wondering if it was worth while to add an oil catch can on my '98 C70 HPT? I had to replace the radiator last week and I noticed all the oil in the intercooler and intercooler hoses. I'm sure this oil is blowing into the turbo. Does this oil affect performance intercooler wise? Any discussion on this possible project? Thanks for any info.

The oil is only blown past the turbo seal when the turbo is under pressure. We are talking oil vapors at this point.

My 98 R would drip a spot of oil after a spirited run. I 'fixed' this problem by drilling a 1 inch hole directly under the weep hole in the intercooler. No more drip, because it would only blow oil vapors out at speed.

This seemed a much better/cheaper solution than resealing the turbo.

It will not harm the engine, just makes cleaning the throttle body more important after 50K miles or so. If you need to replace the radiator, the IC also comes out, and that would be a good time to clean it with a soapy water flush, along with the IC hoses.
