All lights on - car will not start 850

Hi,
I need some help. My car will not start. When I turn on ignition, all lights are on and orange arrow is flushing. It just happened like that without any warnings.

Thank you for your help.

Janusz

If the starter is not turning the engine, then you need a jump. The lights will work with less than 11V, the starter will not. Of course, if the car is not in neutral or park, the starter key will not turn to start.

As for the flashing up shift arrow, that is a tranny problem usually associated with the PNP switch. For a temporary fix, with the car off and your foot on the brake, row the shift lever from R to L about 20-30 times. That usually clears it so the tranny is not in limp home mode (3rd gear).

Thank you Klaus. My mechanic said that it might be "throttle position sensor", but he is not sure.

A TPS failure should give you a code. It can be cleaned and checked.

Because the engine turns over, then I would check for spark. No spark would lead me to the coil, an easy check, and then the the cam position sensor.

He diagnosed TPS failure based on a code, but does TPS failure has anything to do with flashing up arrow?

Possible. The TCU uses the throttle position to help determine which geat to be in.
